Foliage thin leathery, blueish-grey leaflets hanging down at the tips. Slow growing palm with a sturdy trunk. Flowers yellow followed by orange-yellow fruits.
Chamaerops humilis / Dwarf fan Palm
Foliage made up of pinnate leaves covered in a brown hairy fibre. Has more than one stem. Also known as the European Stool Palm.
Cordyline australis / New Zealand Cabbage Palm
Evergreen. Foliage pale green arching linear to lanceolate leaves. Very hardy against salt laden winds. Sometimes used for screening. Flowers are fragrant, creamy-white.
Trachycarpus fortunei / Fan Palm
Noted for its columnar trunk covered in a hairy brown fibre. Flowers long panicles of pendulous yellow, followed by blackish-blue fruit. Will grow in large pots or containers. Fan shaped glossy dark green upper leaf, pale green to ash grey underside.
