Polygonatum, or Solomon’s Seal, is a deciduous, herbaceous perennial with slightly arching stems with elegant, elliptic, ribbed, bright green leaves, golden-yellow in autumn. Fragrant, tubular or bell-shaped, creamy-white flowers bloom in spring hanging from leaf axils. Flowers are followed by attractive blue-black berries in autumn. Polygonatum grows best in fertile, hummus-rich, moist, well-drained soils, but is adaptable to a wide range of soils, both dry and wet. It prefers full shade to partial shade. It is tolerant of full sun, but if the sun is too strong, it may cause leaf scorch. Once established, tolerant of drought. Generally, disease-free and pest-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. If clumps become too large, they should be divided in early spring. Solomon’s Seal is an elegant, shade-loving perennial perfect for shaded gardens and woodland gardens. Great as a ground cover, for underpainting of roses and shrubs, in shaded beds and borders. Attractive with ferns, hostas, and other shade loving plants.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
