Rhododendron 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum is a beautiful, fast-growing, evergreen flowering shrub with rounded habit, oblong, slightly glossy, dark green leaves, and stunning, long-lasting, funnel-shaped, lavender-pink flowers with ginger-brown spotted throats, blooming in spring, followed by dry seed capsules in autumn. Rhododendron 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum thrives in acidic, organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils in partial shade. Poor drainage leads to root rot. It loves morning sun, but needs some shade in the afternoon. It is tolerant of sun and almost full shade. It is resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from strong winds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Susceptible to many insect and disease problems. Rhododendron ‘Catawbiense Grandiflorum’ is a popular flowering shrub, perfect as a specimen or accent plant in informal, cottage, woodland, and urban gardens. Excellent as a foundation plant and planted in groups. Great for beds and borders, informal hedges, and roof and patio gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
