Rhododendron Helrood Red is a beautiful, dense, vigorous, evergreen shrub with small, glossy, olive-green leaves, reddish in winter, and single, funnel-shaped, bright red flowers blooming in clusters in spring. Perfect for shady areas. Rhododendron ‘Helrood Red’ thrives in acidic, organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils in partial shade. Its roots are shallow and poor drainage may lead to a root rot. It loves morning sun, but needs some shade in the afternoon. It is tolerant of frost and air pollution. It prefers cool climates and needs to be sheltered from strong winds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Susceptible to many insect and disease problems. Rhododendron ‘Helrood Red’ is a very ornamental and versatile landscape shrub, perfect as a specimen plant in informal, cottage, woodland, and urban gardens. Wonderful plant for shade gardens. Excellent as a foundation plant, planted in groups or masses. Great for beds and borders, informal hedges, banks and slopes, wall-sides and trellises.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
