Sorbus aucuparia 'Fastigiata' is a small, slow-growing, deciduous tree of narrowly columnar habit, with thick and upright branches, large, pinnate, dark green leaves, bluish-green underneath. Small, creamy-white flowers with musky scent bloom in late spring and are followed by clusters of dark red berries. Attractive to birds and bees. Rowan 'Fastigiata' grows best in moderately fertile, humus-rich, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils, but is adaptable to various soil conditions. It thrives in full sun to partial shade. It is resistant to frost and wind. Very easy to grow, tolerant of urban pollution, coastal conditions, and exposed areas. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Very sensitive to canker. Sorbus aucuparia ‘Cardinal Royal’ is a very nice, elegant ornamental tree. It is perfect as a specimen or accent plant in cottage, wildlife, urban, and coastal gardens. Great for hedges and screens and for creating wind breaks in windy locations. Suitable for growing in containers on patios and roof gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
