Spiraea, commonly known as Meadowsweets or Steeplebush, is a genus of about 80 species of shrubs. It’s a deciduous, flowering shrub with narrowly oval, usually toothed, green leaves, yellow, red and purple in autumn. Small, white, yellow, pink or purple flowers are clustered together in dense panicles, umbrella-like corymbs or grape-shaped clusters and bloom in spring or summer. Spiraea is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, except extreme, but prefers fertile, loamy, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun and partial shade. Once established, it is resistant to drought. It can withstand coastal conditions and urban pollution. A tough and resilient plant, generally disease-free and pest-free. Low maintenance, doesn’t require much pruning. Spiraea is a lovely, popular shrub suitable for informal, cottage, urban, and coastal gardens. It is perfect for beds and borders, banks and slopes, shrub borders, and foundation plantings. It can be clipped into an interesting, informal hedge. Great as a specimen or accent plant.

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
