Spiraea ‘Pink Ice’ is a compact, mounding, deciduous shrub with slender, arching stems, and oval, white-flacked, pink-tinged, pale green leaves. Lovely rounded heads of tiny white flowers bloom along pink stems in early summer. Attractive to butterflies. Spiraea ‘Pink Ice’ thrives in average, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun, but is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, except extreme ones, as well as partial shade. Once established, it is resistant to drought. It can withstand coastal conditions and urban pollution. A tough and resilient plant, generally disease-free and pest-free. Low maintenance, doesn’t require much pruning.
