Viburnum ‘Kilimanjaro’ is a compact, slow-growing, slender, deciduous shrub or small tree of pyramidal habit with heart-shaped, deeply veined, dark green leaves, red-purple in autumn. Profusion of lovely, white flowers, tinged with pink bloom in late spring and early summer, and are followed by glossy, dark-red, ornamental berries in autumn and winter. Attractive to wildlife. Viburnum ‘Kilimanjaro’ prefers moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade, but can adapt to a wide range of soil conditions. It is resistant to frost but in colder climates it needs to be sheltered from harsh, winter winds. Generally, pest-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Viburnum ‘Kilimanjaro’ is a very attractive shrub, perfect for informal and cottage gardens. Excellent for shrub borders, wall-side borders, foundation plantings, or informal hedges and screens. Great as a groundcover. Suitable for growing in pots and containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
