broadly ovate, dark green leaves with purple red margins and short hairs, burgundy red in autumn. An abundance of small, 5-pettal, sky blue flowers bloom in late summer and autumn. Ceratostigma griffithii is adaptable to a wide range of soils, but prefers light, semi-fertile, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun. It is resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. A Mediterranean climate plant that grows well in coastal areas. Tolerant of urban conditions. Generally, pest-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Griffith's plumbago is a lovely, adaptable shrub perfect for informal, cottage, coastal, and urban gardens. Excellent as a ground cover, for beds and borders, shrub and wall-side borders. Great for banks and slopes for erosion control. Very good-looking in rock and gravel and Mediterranean-style gardens. Suitable for growing in pots and containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
