Euonymous japonica ‘Gold Queen’ is an attractive, medium-sized, bushy, upright, evergreen shrub with lovely, variegated, oval, glossy, golden-yellow leaves, green in centres. Small, greenish flowers bloom in summer, and are sometimes followed by pinkish-white fruit. Euonymous japonica ‘Gold Queen’ is an undemanding plant and very easy to grow. It tolerates a wide range of soils, even poor and lean ones, as long as they are well-drained. It prefers average, moist and well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Once established, it is tolerant to drought, cold, salt, wind, and doesn’t require much attention. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance. Euonymous japonica ‘Gold Queen’ is a tough and attractive little shrub, ideal for beginner gardeners. Perfect for informal, cottage, urban, and coastal gardens. Great as a ground cover, for low hedges and shrub borders, or for growing in pots and containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
