Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ruby Slippers' is a spreading, rounded, deciduous shrub with large, deeply lobed, oak-shaped, deep green leaves, red and purple in autumn. Large, upright, conical panicles of mostly sterile flowers bloom in late spring and summer. Flowers open white, then turn beautiful pale pink and, finally, ruby red as the autumn approaches. Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ruby Slippers' can grow in a wide range of soils, but prefers humus-rich, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun and partial shade. Resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winter winds. Tolerant of urban pollution. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, requires minimal pruning. Oak Leaf Hydrangea is a wonderful shrub, easy to grow and maintain, suitable for informal, cottage, woodland, and urban garden. Perfect as a specimen or accent plant or for mass plantings. Excellent for mixed and shrub borders. Great for informal hedges and screens. Attractive in dried arrangements. Suitable for growing in large containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
