Juniperus Chinensis, also known as Chinese juniper, is a popular species of tree often used for bonsai cultivation. Native to East Asia, this evergreen coniferous tree has small, needle-like leaves and a naturally gnarled and twisted trunk that gives it a unique character. As a bonsai tree, Juniperus Chinensis is well-suited to a wide range of styles and techniques, including traditional upright styles, cascading styles, and windswept styles. Its small leaves make it an ideal candidate for shaping and pruning, and it responds well to wiring and other training techniques.
