Liquidambar styraciflua 'Albomarginata Manon' is a large, deciduous tree of narrow, upright, pyramidal habit, and aromatic, maple-like, variegated leaves, greyish-green with white margins that turn pink in autumn, and beautiful orange, dark red, and purple autumn foliage. Small, inconspicuous, yellowish-green flowers bloom in spring and are followed by hard, prickly gum balls. Liquidambar styraciflua 'Albomarginata Manon' is an adaptable tree, easily grown in various types of soils, except shallow and alkaline. It prefers moderately fertile, deep, moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils in sunny, sheltered positions. It is tolerant of cold, heat, and salty winds. Resistant to urban pollution. Low maintenance plant. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Liquidambar styraciflua 'Albomarginata Manon' is a large ornamental tree, popular for its wonderful foliage, but it needs a lot of space to grow. Suitable for coastal and urban areas. Tasty, thick sap is harvested from under the bark and used for various purposes.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
