Magnolia Yellow Bird is a deciduous tree of upright columnar habit with pyramidal to rounded crown, elliptic green leaves, golden-brown in autumn. Beautiful, fragrant, goblet-shaped, lemon-yellow flowers bloom in late spring, as the leaves emerge. Magnolia Yellow Bird thrives in fertile, rich, slightly acidic, moist, and well-drained soils. Doesn’t like too dry or too wet soils. It prefers full sun to partial shade, in a position sheltered from harsh winds. Since it blooms later in spring, it is less likely for its buds to be damaged by frost. Once established it is difficult to transplant. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Magnolia Yellow Bird is a hybrid cross between M. acuminata var. subcordata and M. x brooklynensis ‘Evamaria’. One of the best yellow Magnolias. It’s an attractive, flowering tree, perfect as a specimen plant or small shade tree. Great for shrub borders or informal hedges and screens. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
