Malus ‘Profusion’, or Crab Apple ‘Profusion’, is an upright, spreading, deciduous tree with rounded to ovoid, half-open crown, and attractive, colourful foliage – reddish-purple when young, bronze-green during the season, and amber, orange, and red in autumn. Profusion of beautiful, fragrant, pink-rose flowers emerge in clusters in spring and are followed by blood-red fruits in autumn that persist into winter. Attractive to birds and bees. Crab Apple ‘Profusion’ can adapt to a wide range of soils, but prefers moderately fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but tolerates partial shade. Once established, it is resistant to drought. It can withstand frost, wind, and urban pollution. Generally, disease-free. Low maintenance plant. Malus ‘Profusion’, with its attractive foliage, profusion of bold, pink flowers and blood red fruits, is a very decorative tree all year round. Perfect as a specimen or accent plant for informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Suitable for growing in containers

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
