Viburnum Pragense is a medium-sized, multi-stemmed, evergreen shrub of rounded habit with narrowly oblong, deeply veined, glossy, dark green leaves. Slightly fragrant, tubular, creamy-white flowers open from pink buds in domed, terminal cymes and bloom in spring. They are followed by red berries that turn glossy black and persist on branches throughout the winter. Viburnum Pragense ia adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, but grows best in average, moderately fertile, humus-rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils, in full sun and partial shade. In sub-zero winter temperatures, it may die to the ground. It should be protected from harsh winter winds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t need much pruning. Viburnum Pragense, with its attractive evergreen foliage, lovely flowers and attractive berries, is a beautiful decorative shrub, perfect for cottage, urban, and coastal gardens. Excellent for shrub borders and foundation plantings. Great for informal hedges, screens and windbreaks. Good as a specimen or accent plant.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
