Weigelia Apple Blossom is a compact, deciduous flowering shrub of narrowly upright habit, with simple, ovate, medium-green leaves, bronze when they emerge. Large, funnel-shaped, shell-pink flowers bloom in clusters along the whole stem throughout spring and summer. Attractive to birds and bees. Weigelia Apple Blossom is a fast-growing and resilient plant that requires very little care. It can adapt to a wide range of soil conditions, even clay and tough urban grounds, but prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but can grow well and bloom in partial shade. It is tolerant of frost, wind, exposure and mild drought. Doesn’t have any serious pest or disease problems.
