Ginkgo biloba ‘Troll’ is a charming, compact dwarf selection, ideal for gardens where space is limited but strong seasonal interest is desired. Its naturally rounded, dense habit makes it perfect for small gardens, rockeries, courtyard borders, and container planting. The distinctive fan-shaped leaves emerge fresh green in spring and summer, then turn a spectacular clear golden yellow in autumn, creating a bright focal point late in the season.
Exceptionally hardy and long-lived, ‘Troll’ is tolerant of cold, wind, air pollution, and a wide range of soil types, provided drainage is reasonable. It performs best in full sun, which enhances autumn colour and maintains a tidy, compact shape, but it will also tolerate light shade.
