Unit price perLavandula Hidcote is a dwarf, evergreen shrub with narrow, silvery blue-green foliage and small, tubular, dark purple flowers in dense spikes, with beautiful long-lasting fragrance. Blooms in late spring or early summer, sometimes twice during the season.
Hidcote Lavender can grow in any type of soil, even sandy and rocky, as long as it is well-drained. Does not like wet or waterlogged soils and prefers average, light, dry to medium moisture, slightly alkaline soils, in sunny positions. It doesn’t tolerate high summer humidity and cold winters. It needs to be protected from harsh winds. In very cold climates it has to be planted in containers and brought inside during the winter. Low maintenance plant.
