Unit price perCedrus libani ‘Glauca’, commonly known as the Blue Lebanon Cedar, is a majestic and ornamental evergreen tree highly suitable for spacious gardens and landscapes. It thrives best in full sun with well-drained soil and is particularly valued for its glaucous, silver-blue needles, which provide year-round color and visual interest. This cultivar is drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance, making it a good choice for low-intervention gardening in temperate climates.
Its growth habit starts with a strong, upright, pyramidal form in youth, gradually developing into a broad, flat-topped tree with distinctive horizontal branching as it matures. This architectural structure creates a dramatic silhouette, especially in winter when its bold framework is fully visible. Due to its size—reaching heights of 40 to 60 feet or more with a broad spread—it is best suited to large gardens, parkland settings, or as a standalone specimen in open lawns.
Cedrus libani ‘Glauca’ is not recommended for small gardens due to its eventual scale, but in the right setting, it provides a long-lived and impressive focal point with outstanding ornamental value.

Unit price perTaxodium distichum, the Swamp Cypress, grown as a standard tree is a magnificent, long-lived specimen that brings grandeur and seasonal interest to larger gardens and parkland settings. With its straight trunk and gracefully conical crown, it develops soft, feathery, bright green foliage in spring and summer, which turns rich copper-orange in autumn before falling to reveal an attractive winter silhouette.
This tree is particularly suited to moist or water-retentive soils, thriving where many other trees struggle, including beside ponds, streams, and in low-lying ground. It will also adapt to ordinary garden soils provided they do not become completely dry. In very wet conditions it may produce characteristic “knees,” adding unique sculptural interest.
Taxodium distichum prefers full sun for best growth and colour, and once established it is hardy, wind-tolerant, and surprisingly resilient. As a standard tree, it makes an outstanding focal point in spacious gardens, creating light, dappled shade rather than a heavy canopy, allowing underplanting beneath.
With its elegant form, autumn colour, and tolerance of challenging damp conditions, Swamp Cypress is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a stately, distinctive tree with strong year-round presence.
Pinus parviflora ‘Negishi’ on a clear stem is a striking and elegant addition to any garden, particularly suited for modern, Japanese, or architectural landscapes. Grafted onto a clear stem, this form elevates the tree’s sculptural canopy, allowing the beautiful, layered branching and soft, silvery-blue needles to stand out as a focal point. It creates a visually light yet impactful presence, perfect for framing entrances, accenting patios, or adding height and structure to planting schemes.
‘Negishi’ is a slow-growing Japanese white pine that typically develops a broad, open canopy with graceful form and refined texture. The silvery foliage maintains year-round interest and pairs well with rocks, gravel, ornamental grasses, and minimalist planting designs. Negishi is hardy and prefers full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
Its clear-stemmed structure also allows underplanting with low-growing shrubs, groundcovers, or seasonal flowers, enhancing garden layering and visual depth. Low-maintenance and long-lived, this pine requires minimal pruning to maintain shape. Pinus parviflora ‘Negishi’ on a clear stem is ideal for gardeners seeking a refined, architectural tree with year-round beauty and character.

Unit price perPicea pungens 'Edith' is one of the finest blue conifers available, prized for its exceptionally bright silvery-blue needles and naturally elegant, pyramidal form. Originating as a selected cultivar of the Colorado Blue Spruce, it offers all the beauty of the species but with a more refined, consistent habit and a richer blue colour that is retained throughout the year.
Slow to moderate growing, 'Edith' typically reaches around 4–8 metres in height over many years, with a spread of 2–4 metres, making it an excellent choice for medium to large gardens where year-round structure is desired. Its dense branching creates a symmetrical silhouette without requiring regular pruning, making it a low-maintenance specimen tree.
The striking needles are stiff, sharply pointed and coated in a silvery wax, giving the tree its remarkable icy-blue appearance. This distinctive colouring contrasts beautifully with green foliage, flowering shrubs and autumn tones, making 'Edith' a superb focal point in both contemporary and traditional landscapes.
Hardy throughout the UK, Picea pungens 'Edith' performs best in full sun, where the blue foliage develops its most intense colour. It prefers moist but well-drained soil and is tolerant of a wide range of soil types, including chalk, loam and sandy soils, provided they are not waterlogged. Once established, it is reasonably drought tolerant and copes well with exposed positions, making it suitable for many parts of the country.
This handsome evergreen requires very little attention beyond occasional watering during prolonged dry periods while young. Its naturally neat shape means pruning is rarely necessary, and it is generally resistant to pests and diseases.
Whether planted as a striking standalone specimen, incorporated into a mixed conifer collection or used to provide year-round interest within a larger border, Picea pungens 'Edith' delivers outstanding colour, architectural form and dependable performance for generations
