Betula pendula is a medium-sized, deciduous tree with pendulous branches and graceful, pyramidal habit, more oval as the tree matures. Its attractive smooth, silvery white bark exfoliates in papery strips. Ovate, glossy green leaves turn yellow in autumn. Yellowish male flowers appear in dropping catkins, while greenish female appear in upright catkins and are followed by cone-like fruits. Betula pendula is easily grown in any type of soil, but prefers moist, well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. It is resilient to a wide range of conditions. Great choice for cities and urban gardens since it can withstand air pollution. It is very hardy, suitable even for cold climates. Thrives in cool northern climates. European White Birch is a lovely, elegant tree with a beautiful white bark. It is perfect as a specimen plant and small landscape tree, or planted in beds and borders. Great for cottage, urban and informal gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
