Caryopteris clandonensis Hint of Gold 'Lisaura' is a compact, deciduous shrub with an upright habit, large, toothed, aromatic, golden-yellow leaves with mint-green margins, and clusters of vivid lilac blue flowers that bloom in summer and late autumn when few other shrubs are in bloom. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Caryopteris – clandonensis 'Kew Blue' thrives in full sun. It doesn’t mind any type of soil as long as it is well-drained, but prefers moderately fertile, light, medium moisture soil. It is very easy to grow and low maintenance. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Somewhat resistant to drought and frost but should be protected from harsh winds. In colder areas, best to be planted near a sheltered wall. Caryopteris - clandonensis (Bluebeard) 'Kew Blue' is an excellent addition to any sunny garden. Great choice for cottage and urban gardens, suitable for coastal areas. Perfect for flower beds and borders, perennial and shrub borders, short hedges, and for growing in containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
