Clematis Nubia, a part of Boulevard series, is a compact, deciduous climber with bright green leaves and beautiful, star-shaped, velvet red flowers with deep red stamens that bloom for a very long time - from late spring to autumn. Clematis Nubia thrives in rich, neutral, moist, well-drained soils in full sun. Its roots should be kept cool, shaded by other plants. It doesn’t tolerate cold, dry winds. Low maintenance, it requires very little pruning. Its blossom attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, but the plant is toxic to animals. Clematis Nubia is an attractive long-blooming climber with stunning deep-red flowers. Great for adding vertical colour to a garden, it needs a support for climbing – trellis, fence or a rock wall. It can serve as a low privacy screen or as a covering for bare legs of rose shrubs. Perfect for growing in pots and containers.
