Dryopteris affinis – Pinderi is a vigorous, robust, clump-forming, neatly-shaped, semi-evergreen male fern forming a rosette od narrow, lance-shaped, dark green fronds, light green when young with golden yellow midrib. Dryopteris affinis – Pinderi is very easy to grow. It tolerates most soil types, but thrives in fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It can grow in full sun if given enough moisture, but prefers full shade and partial shade. Once established, resistant to drought. It is very resistant to frost, can withstand very low temperatures and exposed positions. Generally, disease-free and pest-free when grown outdoors. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Golden shield fern is and elegant and decorative plant, perfect for under-planting of roses, shrubs and deciduous trees as that is how it grows in its natural habitat. Great for flower beds and mixed and shrub borders. It is excellent for adding form, texture and movement to informal, cottage, and wildlife gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
