Dryopteris lepidopoda is a beautiful, vigorous, clump-forming, semi-evergreen fern, with ovate, pinnately divided fronds, slowly changing its colours from pinkish-orange, coppery-red to glossy olive-green, and upright, slightly arching stems with dark brown scales. Dryopteris lepidopoda is adaptable to a wide range of soil types, but prefers fertile, loamy, slightly acidic to neutral, consistently moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in partial to full shade. It can grow in full sun if provided enough moisture. Doesn’t like excessive water. Evergreen in cool winter climates. It needs to be sheltered from harsh, drying winds. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Sunset Fern is a stunning, colourful, exotic-looking fern, with amazing, constantly changing foliage colour. It is great for shady areas of informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Excellent as a ground cover or for under-planting of roses and shrubs. Great for flower beds and mixed and shrub borders. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
