Hebe 'Wild Romance' is a compact, bushy, mound-forming, evergreen shrub with narrow, spear-shaped, dark green leaves with creamy-white margins, bright pink when they emerge, deep pink-maroon in autumn. Dense spikes of purple flowers bloom in summer to early autumn and are attractive to bees and butterflies. Hebe 'Wild Romance' is prefers moderately fertile, slightly alkaline, moist, well-drained soils, but is tolerant of most soil types. It thrives in full sun or light shade. It can withstand frost, but needs to be sheltered form harsh, winter winds. Tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require running. Hebe 'Wild Romance', with its colourful, constantly changing foliage, is a wonderful plant, suitable for almost any garden – cottage, urban, coastal, or rock and gravel. Excellent for beds and borders, banks and slopes, or low hedges. Perfect as a ground cover or for under-planting of shrubs and roses. Great for growing in pots and containers.
