Hydrangea quercifolia, or Oak-Leaved Hydrangea is a spreading, broad-rounded, multi-stemmed, suckering, deciduous shrub with large, deeply lobed, oak-shaped, dark-green leaves, red and purple in autumn. Creamy-white flowers in conical panicles with large sterile florets bloom in summer and autumn. Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ruby Slippers' grows well in a wide range of soils, but prefers humus-rich, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun and partial shade. Resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winter winds. Tolerant of air pollution and urban conditions. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, requires minimal pruning. Oak-Leaved Hydrangea is a wonderful, easy to grow shrub, suitable for informal, cottage, woodland, and urban gardens. Great as a specimen or accent plant or planted in groups and masses. Excellent for shrub and mixed borders or informal hedges and screens. Good for foundation plantings, flower beds, or as a ground cover.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
