Juniperus rigida subsp. conferta 'Schlager', a German variety of Shore Juniper, is a low-growing, mat-forming, prostrate, wide-spreading, well-branched, coniferous, evergreen shrub with aromatic, needle-like, silvery-blue to blue-grey foliage with light-green tips of the shoots. It has small, dark-blue fruits that are used as spices. Juniperus rigida subsp. conferta 'Schlager' is not a demanding plant. It can grow in a wide range of soils, including poor and dry, but prefers average, well-drained soils, in full sun or light shade. It doesn’t like too wet or water-logged soils. Once established, it is tolerant of drought. It can withstand cold, heat, urban pollution and coastal conditions. Low maintenance plant. Shore Juniper 'Schlager' is a very decorative, tough, and easy-to-grow. Perfect as a specimen plant or as a foundation plant. Great for beds and borders, on banks and slopes, or as a groundcover. Its robust roots protect the soil from erosion. Suitable for cottage, coastal or urban gardens.

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
