Lavandula intermedia 'Hidcote Giant' is an aromatic, bushy, rounded, evergreen shrub with long, slender stems and narrow, silvery green leaves. Large and abundant spikes of dense, very fragrant, juicy-looking, dark-violet flowers bloom in summer. Lavandula intermedia 'Hidcote Giant' is not to be confused with the dwarf English ‘Hidcote Blue’, because it is actually a lavandin. Lavandin, or Lavandula x Intermedia, is a hybrid that combines the cold-hardiness of English lavender and heat tolerance of Portugese lavender. It can grow in wide range of soils, but can’t tolerate heavy, wet or waterlogged soils. It prefers average, light, slightly alkaline, dry to medium moist, but well-drained soils, in full sun. Tolerant of urban and coastal conditions. Lavandula intermedia 'Hidcote Giant' is an exceptional plant, especially impressive when planted in masses. Great for herb gardens, beds and borders, banks and slopes, and for growing in containers. Perfect for rock and gravel gardens, but also for cottage, urban, and coastal gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
