Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' is a clump-forming, deciduous grass with elegant, slender, arching, green leaves, turning coppery orange in autumn. Feathery, plume-like flower panicles emerge in late summer. They are rich red to pink when young and silvery when mature and very ornamental. Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' is tough and resilient plant. It can grow in any kind of soil, except waterlogged, but prefers moderately fertile, moist, but well-drained soils in full sun. It is very resistant to frost and low temperatures and suitable for exposed positions. It only needs to be protected from excessive winter wet. It can adapt to coastal conditions. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, requires minimal pruning. Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferner Osten' is a beautiful ornamental grass suitable for cottage, urban, and coastal gardens. Excellent as a specimen plant or planted in masses. Great for flower beds, shrub or mixed borders, or informal, low hedges and screens. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
