Parthenocissus quinquefolia is a large, vigorous, fast-growing, deciduous climber which needs no support because it clings to the surface by adhesive holdfasts at the tendril ends. It has very attractive, palmate leaves - purplish in spring, green in summer, and purple and crimson red in autumn. Inconspicuous, greenish-white flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by round, fleshy, blue-black berries. Parthenocissus quinquefolia is adaptable to moist soil types, but grows best in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. Tolerant of full shade and, once established, resistant to drought. Resistant to frost, urban pollution, and coastal conditions. It needs to be trimmed regularly. Generally, disease-free. It may be invasive and also difficult to remove from certain surfaces. Virginia Creeper is a beautiful, fast growing vine, perfect for arbours, pergolas, and trellises. Excellent for wall-side borders, walls, and fences. Great as a groundcover or on banks and slopes for erosion control.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
