Pieris Japonica 'Mountain Fire' is a visually striking evergreen shrub known for its vibrant display of color and unique foliage. Originating from Japan, it typically grows to around 4 to 8 feet in height and width, making it a suitable choice for garden landscapes. It boasts lance-shaped leaves which undergo a stunning transformation, starting as fiery red when young, before transitioning to a lustrous dark green as they mature. This metamorphosis lends the plant its "Mountain Fire" moniker.
This plant produces clusters of beautiful, drooping, creamy-white, urn-shaped flowers in early spring, which persist, creating a vivid contrast with the bold new foliage. It’s a magnet for pollinators, providing a valuable nectar source for bees. It prefers slightly acidic, well-drained soil and partial to full sun exposure, with a requirement for regular watering, especially in extreme heat. However, it's relatively low-maintenance, being resilient to most pests and diseases.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Pieris Japonica 'Mountain Fire' serves as a foundational plant in landscape design due to its robust and evergreen nature, which provides year-round interest. Its versatile character allows it to be planted singly or as part of a mixed border, granting a continual allure to gardens.

About Us
During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.
What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
