Pinus strobus 'Green Twist' is a distinctive cultivar of the Eastern white pine, renowned for its unique, twisted needles that display a striking blue-green hue. This slow-growing, dwarf conifer is highly valued for its compact and irregular mounding habit, making it an excellent choice for small gardens, rock gardens, and as a standout feature in landscape designs. It typically reaches an ultimate height of about 1.5 metres, spreading equally wide, thus providing significant visual interest without dominating smaller spaces.
Ideal for temperate climates, 'Green Twist' flourishes in RHS Hardiness Ratings H7. It favours well-drained, slightly acidic soil and performs best in full sun to partial shade. While it is relatively low-maintenance, this variety does benefit from mulching to maintain soil moisture and needs protection from extreme winds. Its unique texture and form make it a superb addition to any garden, particularly appealing to those looking to introduce a touch of whimsy and structure to their outdoor retreat.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.
About Us
During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.
What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
