Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum', or Japanese Mock Orange, is a small, rounded, dense, slow-growing, evergreen shrub. Its leathery, ovate, glossy, dark green leaves, light green underneath, form a tidy, compact mound. Clusters of small, fragrant, pure white flowers, with a beautiful orange scent, bloom at the branch tips in late spring and early summer. Japanese Mock Orange is long-lived, very adaptable plant that can grow in a wide range of soils, but prefers average, slightly acidic, moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun or partial shade. It can withstand salt and maritime conditions, therefore, great for coastal areas. In colder climates, it should be grown in containers and brought inside during the winter. Low maintenance. Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum' is a lovely little shrub, similar to Buxus, perfect for small, coastal gardens. It is also great in urban and cottage gardens, in beds and borders, or as low formal hedges. Excellent for planting in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
