Prunus avium ‘Plena’, or Wild Cherry, is a medium-sized, spreading, deciduous tree of pyramidal to rounded habit and glossy, brownish-red bark. The ovoid, serrated, dark green leaves are bronze tinted in spring and vibrant orange and crimson in autumn. An abundance of double, pure white flowers bloom in clusters in April and May. ‘Plena’ is sterile and doesn’t produce fruit. Prunus avium ‘Plena’ grows best in moderately fertile, slightly alkaline, sandy, moist, well-drained soil. It thrives in full sun. It doesn’t like too wet or waterlogged soil. It is resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. It can withstand urban pollution very well. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Wild Cherry ‘Plena’ is a very beautiful ornamental tree with stunning white blossoms and colourful autumn leaves. It is perfect as a single specimen plant in large gardens. Being resilient to urban conditions, it is great for urban and industrial areas.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
