Weigela 'Camouflage' is an exceptional deciduous shrub that offers a unique blend of aesthetic appeal and adaptability to various garden settings. Native to parts of East Asia, the Weigela genus boasts several varieties, but 'Camouflage' is particularly renowned for its striking variegated leaves. These leaves are an intricate mix of green, cream, and pink hues, changing and becoming more pronounced as the seasons progress.
Come spring, Weigela 'Camouflage' further enhances its charm by producing a profusion of trumpet-shaped flowers. These blooms, typically in shades of pink or rosy-red, stand out brilliantly against the variegated foliage, creating a vivid display that can liven up any garden. Beyond their ornamental value, these flowers also serve an ecological purpose, acting as magnets for pollinators like bees and hummingbirds.
The shrub's moderate size, typically reaching heights of up to 5 to 6 feet, makes it suitable for a range of landscapes. Whether planted as a solitary specimen, incorporated into a hedge, or used as part of a mixed border, its presence can uplift the aesthetic quotient of a space.
Care for Weigela 'Camouflage' involves routine pruning, which not only maintains its shape but also encourages more prolific flowering. This adaptable shrub, with its unique combination of foliage and blooms, proves to be a genuine asset in diverse garden designs.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.
About Us
During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.
What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
