Buxus sempervirens is an attractive, compact, rounded, slow-growing, evergreen shrub. It has small, simple, glossy, oval, dark green leaves. The clusters of inconspicuous, pale green to yellow and creamy-white flowers appear in April and May. Buxus sempervirens grows well in a variety of conditions. It prefers partial shade in almost any kind of moist, well-drained, soil as long as there is not too much sand or clay. In full shade, it will not grow as vigorously, and in full sun the foliage may scorch. It must be sheltered from hard winds. Tolerant of pruning and shearing. Tough, hardy and easy to grow. Cultivating around the plant should be avoided because it has shallow roots. Susceptible to certain pests and diseases. Toxic to animals. Buxus sempervirens is great for beds and borders, foundation plantings, growing in containers. It is ideal for topiary clipping. Perfect for hedging and screens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
