Miscanthus is a bushy, clump-forming, deciduous, ornamental perennial grass with elegant, arching foliage, variegated or fresh green, orange to bronze in autumn, and large, erect, feathery plumes in shades of silver to pale purple, depending on the variety. Plumed seed heads appear in late summer or early autumn, and after 3-4 weeks, turn silver and fluffy, persisting throughout the winter. There are many varieties ranging in height, leaf width, leaf and plume colour. Silver grass grows best in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soils. It doesn’t like too wet or waterlogged soils and thrives in full sun. It is generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Resistant to drought and easy to grow. Miscanthus is a beautiful ornamental grass that can add some elegance and movement to any cottage, urban or coastal garden. Great as a groundcover, excellent for beds and borders, banks and slopes, for erosion control, and low hedges.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
