Pyracantha teton, commonly known as Teton Firethorn, is a versatile and striking evergreen shrub that belongs to the Rosaceae family. Originating from Asia, particularly China and Japan, it has found popularity in gardens across the United Kingdom for its ornamental appeal and resilience in various conditions.
The Teton Firethorn typically grows to a height of around 2 to 4 meters, with a spread of 2 to 3 meters, forming a dense, thorny thicket that makes it an excellent choice for hedging or as a standalone specimen plant. Its glossy, dark green leaves provide year-round interest, and during the spring, it produces clusters of delicate white flowers that are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
One of the most distinctive features of Pyracantha teton is its abundant clusters of bright orange to red berries, which emerge in late summer and persist well into winter, providing a valuable food source for birds during the colder months. These berries not only add a splash of vibrant color to the garden but also make the plant a valuable asset for wildlife.
In terms of cultivation, Pyracantha teton is relatively easy to grow and thrives in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It is also tolerant of urban pollution, making it suitable for both rural and urban gardens. Regular pruning helps to maintain its shape and promote flowering and berry production.

About Us
During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.
What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
