Rhododendron ‘Tortoise Shell Orange’ is a wonderful, flowering, evergreen shrub of compact, upright habit, with elongated, elliptic, glossy, mid-green leaves, and clusters of beautiful, large, trumpet-shaped, salmon pink flowers, flushed with pastel orange, blooming in spring. Rhododendron ‘Tortoise Shell Orange’ thrives in acidic, organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It grows best in dappled or partial shade. Its roots are shallow and poor drainage may lead to a root rot. It is very tolerant of frost, but needs to be sheltered from winter sunlight and drying winds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Susceptible to many insect and disease problems. Rhododendron ‘Tortoise Shell Orange’, with its unusual and attractive flowers, is a beautiful and tough landscape shrub. It is perfect as a specimen or foundation plant in informal, cottage, woodland, and urban gardens. Excellent for shady areas. Great for beds and borders, banks and slopes, or informal hedges and screens. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
