Unit price perPinus mugo 'Carsten's Wintergold' is a lovely, small, compact, broadly globose, low-spreading shrub with short, green, needle-like leaves in spring and summer, and rich golden yellow in cold weather, and small, inconspicuous cones. It is one of the best “winter gold” pines.
Pinus mugo 'Carsten's Wintergold' can grow in most soil types, alkaline, sandy, loamy, sandy, or clay, as long as they are well-drained. It thrives in full sun. Once established, it is resistant to drought. It is tolerant of coastal conditions but its colour is most intense in colder climates. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Dwarf mountain pine 'Carsten' is an exceptional shrub, perfect for brightening and adding colour to any cottage, urban, coastal, or rock garden. Excellent as a specimen or accent plant in small gardens. Great as a ground cover or for banks and slopes when planted in groups. Suitable for growing in containers.

Unit price perPinus parviflora 'Linda', commonly known as Japanese White Pine 'Linda', is a compact, slow-growing conifer prized for its elegant, blue-green needles and attractive form. It is particularly well-suited for small to medium gardens due to its modest size and ornamental appeal. Over time, it develops a dense, pyramidal to irregular shape, making it a striking focal point or accent tree. Its refined texture and soft coloration offer year-round interest, especially when contrasted with darker evergreens or bright flowering plants.
This cultivar prefers full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is tolerant of urban conditions and moderately drought-resistant once established. 'Linda' performs well in rock gardens, Asian-inspired landscapes, or as part of a mixed border. Its slow growth rate minimizes the need for frequent pruning or maintenance, making it ideal for gardeners seeking low-maintenance yet visually appealing plants.
Cold hardy the Pinus parviflora 'Linda' thrives in temperate climates. However, it may not perform well in areas with high humidity or poorly drained soils. Given proper site selection and care, it adds elegance and structure to any well-planned garden.

Unit price perPinus mugo ‘Winter Gold’ on a clear stem is an excellent addition to gardens seeking year-round structure, vibrant winter color, and compact form. This dwarf mugo pine is trained on a standard stem—often around 40 cm high—producing a neat, globe-shaped crown that stands out beautifully in mixed plantings, raised beds, borders, or containers. During the growing season, its short, dense needles are a fresh green. As temperatures drop in autumn, the foliage shifts dramatically to a rich golden-yellow, creating a stunning focal point in the winter landscape.
This evergreen is extremely hardy and drought-tolerant once established, and thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Its tidy, slow-growing nature makes it ideal for small gardens, urban courtyards, patios, or alpine plantings. The elevated form adds height and visual interest without taking up ground space, making it easy to underplant with low-growing perennials or seasonal color.
‘Winter Gold’ requires minimal pruning and resists most pests and diseases. Whether used as a standalone feature or repeated in a formal layout, this grafted pine brings structure, color, and charm to virtually any garden style all year round.

Unit price perPicea abies ‘Acrocona’ is an excellent choice for garden landscapes due to its unique form, ornamental features, and manageable size. This dwarf cultivar of Norway spruce typically grows 10–15 feet tall and wide, making it ideal for smaller gardens or as a focal point in larger spaces. Its irregular, somewhat sprawling shape adds a touch of character and visual interest throughout the year. One of its most striking features is the production of abundant, showy, reddish-purple cones at the ends of branches in spring, which mature to brown and persist through the seasons, offering long-lasting decorative appeal.
‘Acrocona’ thrives in full sun and prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is hardy and tolerates cold winters and a range of soil types once established. Minimal pruning is required, making it low-maintenance. Due to its moderate growth rate and unique cone display, it is well-suited for rock gardens, specimen plantings, or woodland-themed gardens. Its dense foliage also provides shelter for birds, enhancing biodiversity in the landscape.
